After more than 20 years of mining, the mine operation will be discontinued in the next few years and closed in 2021. The owners of the lands, in collaboration with the surrounding communities, plan to rehabilitate the area and make it more attractive to the local population and to the many tourists visiting the area each year. In order to realize these ambitious plans, a company with a pioneering spirit was sought. The Karınca Valley celebrates the mining, tea growing, local traditions and cultural heritage of the region, creating a unique recreational facility with modern attractions to connect the past and the future. The common vision of the surrounding community and company management is to turn the mine into a very special amusement and leisure park.
